The Main House is a hillside luxurious authentic medieval Castle built by emperor Frederick the II of Swabia and made into a luxurious villa with 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms (15 beds), with breathtaking views around it and in total privacy. The castle beautiful interior decorations and furniture is matched with modern equipment and cutting-edge technology from wireless Internet connection, to whirlpool bathtubs, air conditioning, ice maker, professional Nespresso coffee machine and billiards. All bedrooms feature AC, telephone, safe box, mini fridge, hair drier, ensuite bathroom with bathtub + rain shower, fine fabrics and luxurious drapes. Each bedroom suite having its own decorative theme. There is a chef-worthy kitchen with everything you need and a fully equipped laundry. Outside you find a medieval large courtyard surrounded by lemon trees perfect for candlelight dinner and many sitting areas. The 5,000 sq.m manicured gardens which surround the castle were created by the famous Tuscan landscape designer Alberto Margheriti. They are embroidered with flowers (roses, santoline, perovskia, and thyme), pomegranate and cherry trees, with cratecus, laurel, rosemary and lavender bushes, oak and olive trees, that are continuously in flower. Numerous seating areas offer fabulous views over the hills and the Tiber valley.

The centerpiece is the large panoramic infinity saltwater pool with fantastic hillside views, with a broad wooden loggia surrounded by jasmines and roses that is the ideal place for a lazy lunch or romantic evening dining. Its outdoor spaces also include a stone barbecue, shower, herb garden with aromatic plants and a vegetable garden with fresh vegetables to pick up and enjoy.
For a special event or large gathering, four additional apartments (8 bedrooms/15 beds), are available in the 11th century high Tower (Guest house), just up the hill. Available exclusively in combination with a rental of the Castle, the high Tower’s apartments can be added to your Castle rental one by one or altogether for a total of up to 15 bedrooms (30 beds). There’s even a consecrated church on site, making it especially ideal for a wedding celebration, and the gardens filled with flowers, fruit and olive trees would make a beautiful backdrop for photos.

The property is fully staffed. A dedicated team of professionals provides personalized care, from the moment of the booking until you return home.
